Menno Kroon

I'm excitedly preparing for my first performances in the Netherlands!

Tomorrow and Tuesday evenings, you'll find me playing a few festive sets in the beautiful Menno Kroon concept store in Amsterdam (highly renowned for its amazing floristry and interior design) to celebrate the launch of its Christmas range.

I can't wait to be back behind the harp! xx

Announcing my first live show of 2014!

I'm very excited to be able to reveal my first public show of 2014! I'm playing the Chillout Sunday Session for The Taproom in Angel Islington on February 9th, performing a few sets throughout the evening (5pm - 9pm) and you can come and watch for FREE! I'll be showcasing some of my own songs, but also playing plenty of contemporary covers and classical and traditional instrumental pieces, so this is a great opportunity to hear me live if you're considering booking me for your event, or just the perfectly relaxed way to finish your weekend.

The Singing Harpist in the Houses of Parliament!

Well, it's been an insanely busy year since I last blogged (more like 14 months in fact.. ) and hopefully I'll get a chance to recap for you some of the other amazing venues I've been lucky enough to play in, but in the meantime I just had to share a few photos from the fundraiser I played last week, held in the terrace pavilion of the Houses of Parliament and raising money for  Cancer Research UK.

I was ridiculously excited as I'd never been in the HOP before, and after a 20 minute wait outside, panicking that I wasn't going to be let in with my harp and all my equipment and no official pass - not helped by the passers-by who thought it funny to inquire if I had a "body in the bag" (i.

London 2012 - The StageUp Project

London has been swarming with Olympic visitors for the past few weeks, so the lovely people at TFL/London Overground thought it would fun to host some live music at a few East London stations out towards the Olympic Park. They gave the brief to theSound Tracks Festivalfolk (who I played for last summer) and StageUp was born. I invited my friends fromMidTea along for some fun and filming.

First stop was the entrance to Hackney Central, much to the amusement/shock of some.

Err, where did December go?

I kicked off the festive season performing at a winter party atTechHub. At one point I was sat playing in their front window which overlooks the huge Old Street roundabout. I got some hilarious double-takes from people on the street and the passing buses! I met some lovely ladies from the 2012 Olympic Games organising committee whilst I was there, maybe they'll book me for the opening ceremony? I'm pretty sure I could make myself available...
