Well, it's been an insanely busy year since I last blogged (more like 14 months in fact.. ) and hopefully I'll get a chance to recap for you some of the other amazing venues I've been lucky enough to play in, but in the meantime I just had to share a few photos from the fundraiser I played last week, held in the terrace pavilion of the Houses of Parliament and raising money for Cancer Research UK.
I was ridiculously excited as I'd never been in the HOP before, and after a 20 minute wait outside, panicking that I wasn't going to be let in with my harp and all my equipment and no official pass - not helped by the passers-by who thought it funny to inquire if I had a "body in the bag" (i.e. harp case) - I was soon rescued by the event's organiser and whisked through security to the terrace with its amazing views of the Southbank and the beautiful London Eye:
The houses themselves didn't look too shabby either!
After being given a sneak-peak, I would definitely recommend you take a tour of the Houses of Parliament, which you can do most Saturdays throughout the year.
